Located on Highway #43, just outside Grande Prairie, this popular grill and general store almost single-handedly encompasses the business community of Bezanson.
The new owners, Karen Way and Carol Logan, weren't fully prepared for the volume of steady traffic coming in for a meal when they took over the operation in June 1999. "At times you have a lineup at the door", says Karen Way. It's a good problem to have. I knew it would quite busy, but it was still a pleasant surprise to find out how busy it was." The decade-old business, Way says, became a favorite meeting place for local folk and pit stop for long-distance drivers as soon as it was opened. Since then, Way says Lefty's has built up a thriving reputation not only amongst locals but throughout the trucking community for its home-cooked cuisine.
